WOW! I have not been this excited for an animated feature since The Illusionist. Jean Francois Laguionie’s Le Tableau (The Painting) is a gorgeous example of 3D animation, coming out on November 23rd.
The plot, for those of you who don’t speak French, seems to be this — The wildly colorful paintings of an artist come to life and go on a quest to find their maker. Within the society of one of these tableaus those characters that remain unfinished are relegated to a second class status, and decide to make a bid for freedom. They travel through other paintings, scenes of war and carnivals on their quest.
The whole thing just seems like a incredible visual masterpiece!! MUST SEE MORE.
