I forgot the power cable for my work laptop on my desk, so I’m back to using my broken dell. The dell with the broken headphone jack. Usually it works when I toggle it and I’ve taped it down with some clear tape — but 30 seconds through a song it cut out for good. If the headphones don’t work, the sound doesn’t work either. Can’t fix the hardware, can’t bypass it with the OS, what’s my solution?
I plugged in my USB speakers, these two squat mice with glowing blue noses, queued up season one of Misfits, and watched the first two episodes with these mice balanced on my shoulders like some ratty blackbeard’s pair of parrots. My life is janky.
